PNRC Pediatric Educational Symposium

The PNRC will plan and deliver a one-day Education Symposium to your sales specialists; typically, those who have received advance training in disease specific areas but not necessarily in pediatrics.

Details:

• One-day event at mutually agreeable location, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
• Minimum of 20 attendees required, not more than 30

Program:

• Full day program includes breakfast, pre-test questions based on assigned readings
• Pediatric Disease Specific Presentation includes case presentations
• Initial Treatment of Pediatric disease and Natural History includes case presentations
• Interactive activity to reinforce morning topics and pre-reading on disease
• Pathology/Pathophysiology specific disease (team based learning based on key articles)
• Lunch
• Treatments of disease
• Alternate Therapies for disease
• Panel Q & A (treatment decisions in care of complicated disease specific patient, FAQ of practicing physicians and providers – role of different therapies; future directions for disease therapy studies)
• Post Test with large group review of answers (15 questions)
• We will assign required reading to occur before event

Learning Objectives:

1. Describe the typical clinical manifestations, differential diagnosis, evaluation methods and treatment approaches for children with disease
2. Describe the most common complications and risk factors for complications in children with disease
3. Define the important definitions used in evaluating and staging the clinical course of a child with disease, including factors that affect outcomes
4. Describe the known pathophysiologic and genetic factors associated with disease in children
5. Define alternate treatment approaches for children with this disease.
6. Define the role of clinical trials in advancing the care of children with disease.
7. Demonstrate best approaches to address issues with physicians and other providers regarding treatment of children with complicated disease.

Cost:

Costs to be negotiated based on each symposium's need.

The PRNC will organize the meeting, provide the instructors, materials, meals & breaks

The PRNC will collaborate with your team on hotel/meeting location

Your company will handle all attendee travel and hotel
Your company will provide the PRNC with a list of attendee’s names, titles and emails (to distribute pre-reading) at least 3 weeks in advance of the meeting.
