BIOGRAPHY

Sharon M. Moe, MD, is the Associate Dean for Clinical and Translational Research, Co-Director of Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI), Director of the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension, and the Stuart A. Kleit Professor of Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Dr. Moe is the principal investigator for several ongoing basic and clinical research studies in the field of Chronic Kidney Disease -Mineral Bone Disorder (CKD-MBD).  She has authored over 300 publications and textbook chapters and has mentored more than 30 pre/post docs and MD scientists/fellows.  Dr. Moe served on the National Kidney Foundation’s Bone and Mineral metabolism K/DOQI clinical practice guidelines in 2003, was co-chair of the international KDIGO Mineral and Bone guidelines released in 2009, and a member of the 2017 update committee.

She served as a Councilor/Executive Committee Member for the AHA Kidney in Cardiovascular Disease from 2002-2004, a Councilor representing the USA for the International Society of Nephrology in 2005, and Councilor of the American Society of Nephrology from 2008-2015, serving as President in 2004.

      • The PNRC will cover the cost of your hotel room on Thursday and Friday if you wish to stay for the members meeting.
      • The PNRC will provide a $300 travel grant for coordinator attendance.  To be paid within 2 weeks of meeting conclusion only after this completed payment form is received.  See the document for instructions for submission.
      • The PNRC provides meals, therefore no other meal reimbursement is offered.
